Wedding Story: Mr and Mrs Holliday

Dawn and Tom have been planning their wedding with me for quite a while now. They both wanted a very relaxed day for their family and friends. They had the civil ceremony here at 5pm which would then go straight into the evening. Over 100 guests were invited. After the ceremony, the guests collected a flute of prosecco or a bottle of beer and gathered at the front steps to have the group pictures whilst we whisked the room into place ready. During the group pictures, the prosecco was flowing and assorted canapés being served by my front of house team. Everything from mini Yorkshire puddings filled with beef and hot gravy, to salmon parcels and mini cakes and sweet bites. The room was decorated with stunning glass bell jars filled with a dark sand and a church candle with Cala Lillies in cream and a deep red twisted and wrapped on the outside of the glass. Scatter crystals on the tables with 3 tea lights in a vintage silver holder. The chairs had a white cover and finished with a silver organza bow. These centre pieces looked truly amazing. Each guest got two homemade macaroons at the favour from the bride and groom. Dawn & Tom chose to have a cheese wedding cake, stacked up with different styles of cheese on a wooden tree stump and the florist decorated it with the Cala Lillies to tie it in with the room. The group pictures are over and it was time to take the bride and groom onto the golf course for pictures of just them two. We drove over on two buggies to the best locations on the golf course for a perfect back drop for their pictures. Once we returned I asked all the guests to stand for the arrival of Mr & Mrs Holliday where family and friends cheered and the speeches began. Prosecco was poured ready for the toasts. For catering the bride and groom chose to have a BBQ with everything from burgers to chicken skewers and a dessert station, which was filled with the meringue tower matching the colour scheme, chocolate brownie dusted with glitter, vanilla cheese cake decorated with fruits and lemon torte. It doesn’t stop there. Crackers and chutneys were also out to go with the wedding cheese cake. Everything from savoury and sweet to cater for their guests. With DJ Dan for entertainment and casino tables for the guests to enjoy. The day went perfect and the weather couldn’t have been any better.

Wedding Story: Mr and Mrs Gale

Whilst I was on annual leave I asked my front of house assistant to write a little something about the wedding we had on the weekend. Laura studied fashion whilst at university and has even been in digital Vogue so I thought she would be great for the job. Here is what she had to say about Chelsea & Stephens big day. Something Blue A rich royal blue wedding was the colour scheme for our beautiful bride and groom Chelsea& Stephen. The tables were set with a fish bowl full of sparkling crystals and 3 coloured roses were placed on top. The cake was a 4 tiered Victoria sponge, with a baroque lace pattern design on 2 of the tiers on a blue iced background. A very traditional cake stacked on a mirrored base fit into the brides theme perfectly. The Dress One of the best parts, but I am a bias fashion designer! Chelsea had chosen a strapless, A-line, princess wedding gown, with a fitted bodice and hand-placed lace, this dress was perfect for our bride and we all thought she looked amazing! To finish the look she had a classy styled up do with stunning soft tulle mid length veil. The ceremony With over a 100 guests the golf club was buzzing with excitement and glamour from guests all waiting for the afternoon wedding of Mr and Mrs Gale. The ceremony was a lovely romantic affair. The ceremony was over and the Bride and Groom could relax and get ready for an evening of pictures, prosecco and partying. The Wedding breakfast started off with the speeches, the groom and groomsmen stood to thank guests, talk about the past and embarrass one another. Then came the first course which was a choice of soup or ceaser salad, the main a selection of beef or pork and finishing off with a choice of Eton mess or chocolate brownie. The wine was flowing through out the courses and everyone was having an amazing time. The party The room was quickly changed around and the partying could commence. The evening guests were arriving and our resident DJ Dan was here to play any song the guest required and to create the finest atmosphere for Mr and Mrs Gales guests.
